So, I won't be updating here as much. I'm sorry! It's back to school and I've got a busy semester. But I did some very exciting stuff today! I made my first two franken polishes! The first one is a dark silver color. Not quite gunmetal, but not silver either. It is around the color of normal metals that you see in every day life, quarters, pipes, etc. It was made using Love My Nails Platinum and Maybelline Express Finish Onyx Rush. The LMN Platinum was over 3/4 empty and I have another color that is similiar, so I decided to experiment. I put in a little of the Maybelline Onyx Rush and looked at the color (the LMN already had some ball bearings in it). And then I put in a little more and tried it out. And I gradually upped the Onyx Rush until it was a great dark grey/silver. I'll have photos at some point. The second was made in an Avon Top Coat bottle was mostly empty. I added in Pure Ice Jaguar, Wet'n'Wild Wild Shine Wild Orchid, Rimmel "Nail Tip Whitener," and finally, three drops of the Maybelline Pure Onyx, because it was a little to light. It's a beautiful dusty dark lavender with some shimmer. I will have to take picture. It turned out so well.
Anyway, if you want to keep up with other goings on in my life. I will probably be writing in Mary Commentary more often. :-)

NOTD: Jan 01 2009
These are two NOTDs from Jan 01 and Jan 07. They are both Sally Hansen. The first is Forever Mango. It was very difficult to get a good photo of this! The first photo is w/o flash. The second is with. The first looks orange the second looks pink! Its somewhere in between.

This second color is Poppy. This is two coats but should be three, as it's still a bit on the sheer side. Anyway, I can't help but love these kinds of colors. I think they go very nicely with my skin tone.

FOTD: Jan 07 2009
Notice the title? I thought I would upload some old FOTDs since I cannot grace you with new ones. If I used face products, I'm not sure what I used since they are not photographed, but the face seems to look fairly natural in these photos. I used Avon Glimmer Stick in some navy blue color... I think Midnight, perhaps. Then I used ULTA shadows in Sin, a shimmery dark navy, and Pink, shimmery pink. Rimmel Extra Super lash. I used the pink only as a highlight color.
Oh, I love this lipstick. It is by Avon and it is too neat. It is Golden Rose.

Also: Camwhoring...

Some how this photo came out of it, and it looks rather good. I don't know. Maybe this is another person. Because, frankly, I didn't think I could look like this. It's all about the angle.
I love eyelashes. No seriously, I love eyelashes. All eyelashes. They are so sweet and lovely.

I am beginning to upload photos that I couldn't upload while I was at home. I'm at my boyfriend's house right now so I'll be doing them when I get the chance. I'll be doing more when I get back to school. So, check it out!!! :-) All the posts since Dec 18 are back posted. :-) I will delete this post once I get them all up.

FOTD: Jan 01 2009
Wow, my face was kinda glow-y on this day! It's the WNW face illuminator. It sure does it's job! That open compact is a Victoria's Secret Eyeshadow Mosaic. The lipstick is a d/ced Maybelline

FOTD: Saturday Dec 27
Today is the Saturday after Christmas. Went shopping with my mom today to get in on some of the after Christmas Deals. I also used some of my Christmas prezzies (on which I'll do a collective haul when I get back to school). The powder and mascara are Avon. It's the mistake proof mascara. I like the mascara very much, but not so much on the eraser part. The shadow is a palette from Ulta. I'll talk about that later, too, in another post. With swatches and such. The gloss is Maybelline and the concealer is ELF, as usual.

I used the second pair of shadows in the palette and the beige from the first pair as a highlighter. It's all rather sheer, but good texture

Sorry about the mascara mess!

Oooh, I love this gloss. Isn't it lovely!!

LOVE this picture.

FOTD: Wednesday Dec 24
My Christmas Eve FOTD. I only wore clear mascara today, like yesterday. I wanted to give my lashes a break. Also, to let you all know, I've been trying out Ardell Lash and Brow growth Accelerator lately. I'll do a post on it when I get back to school.
Anyway, products used:
The eyes: I put the color on very lightly, I didn't want a very dark eye today.

See the naked lashes

Note on the lips: the color in the stick looks red, but it's really a dark pink, I think. I put it on over concealer then blotted and it came out as a lighter pink. Very natural looking for my lips actually; just a dash pinker.
