NOTD: Friday Dec 19 GUITAR HERO

So here is basically the greatest mani I've ever done: The Guitar Hero Manicure. (Tim: I bought the green and yellow nail polishes just for you!!!)




These first two colors are so so so sheer. I put four coats for each one. I was disappointed, to say the least. Especially since the other polishes I have from Icing are super pigmented. The other colors are two coats each.





Note: don't you think these Icing polish bottles look a bit like China Glaze bottles? I don't own any CG, so I can't be sure.

FOTD: Friday Dec 19 2008

This is the FOTD I did for my parent's Christmas party. I used ELF eyeshadow in Silver Lining.

Let me tell you, I am loving this Wet 'n' Wild MegaGlo powder. This is in CatWalk Pink. Ahh, and I love that Maybelline Lipstick, but, it is sadly discontinued.

Sadly, no photo of the mascara, so I don't remember which one I used. :-(




To get this bright pink lipstick to look baby pink, I blended concealer onto my lips and let it dry before putting the lipstick on.

I have to say, I particularly like this eye look here.

Lips: Lorac Lipstick in Imagine
Eyes: Wet'n'Wild MegaEyes Eye Shadow Trio in Amazon Greens and Cover Girl Volume Exact.

FOTD: Wednesday Dec 17

For today's FOTD, all I used on my lids was was a really simple and inexpensive eyeshadow trio. I dunno, because I was lazy and it was there. :-) Anyway, not writing much today. I have to pack up my dorm for the winter hols.

This is a simple eyeshadow trio by a brand called
"Color Impact." My sis got it for my some years ago.
There were three of these trios in a little case.

L'Oreal Lipstick in Cinnamon Toast

This NOTD is Pure Ice First Time, two coats, followed by Pure Ice Jaguar, two coats. Tell me what you think of this combo? I wore it to the Lockheed Martin Christmas Party.

Lockheed Martin Christmas Party 2008 and FOTD: Sat Dec 13

Every year on the 2nd weekend in December (right around my birthday, actually) the Donaldson Center Lockheed Martin holds its annual Christmas party, sometimes at the Hyatt, usually at the Crowne Plaza. I was very pleased to have a lovely dress this year, thanks to a wonderful woman who is an alum of the college I attend. I was looking for a dress to borrow and she gave me this dress. Yes! Gave it to me! I was so excited. These photos are actually taken after the party, so I am missing a hair clip (had to return it to my sis) and Kevin's hair had been in a ponytail (he looked very dashing. The dress was a bit long, but that's what I get for being 5'2.
