Prezzies for Tiffasaurus

One of the prezzies I made for Tiffasaurus was a franken. I used a small bottle that had some Hot Topic topcoat that I got with a HT Fauxnad set. I used some clear topcoat, Grapetini by Icing, Pearl by Elf, and Wild Orchid by WNW (not pictured). I used about 1/4 clear topcoat, 15 drops of Grapetini, 10 drops of WO, and topped it off with the Pearl. But, remember, the bottle I used is really tiny. Grapetini w/o flash:

The result: Heliotrope!

I did my best to make these photos true to life colors. I added a bit of red to the photo. It's pretty close, now.
Here are the blush and shadows that I made for Tiffy. (Wisteria not pictured.) This is the only picture you get of them, because she needs some surprise. :-) I used micas and the matte base from TKB Trading. I used oxides and shimmer from Coastal Scents.

I spent all afternoon making prezzies for Tiffasaurus. I made 5 shadows, 1 blush, and 1 nail polish. Pictures will be uploaded later. :-)

Making Stargirl's Hair Look Decent

My hair is usually a frizzy mess and I generally pull it back into a pony tail. LadyTiffanyAnne, my twin, said if I was going to be some kind of makeup guru, then I needed to look like I know what I'm talking about, and that means looking the part. "You always make sure you're makeup looks great in your videos, you need to start doing your hair." So, she came up and showed me how to do my hair.

Tiffany, you'll be pleased to note that one of my most recent comments on YouTube is about how great my hair looks.

I was "tagged" by Connie @ Skin Deco. That's in quotation marks because I'm not popular enough to get tagged by anyone except my sis. Connie tagged anyone who wants to do this." Aaannnndd.... I do! So, here we go!

1. I didn't start wearing makeup until the beginning of the summer when I basically dove in head first. I was reading blogs and watching vids and now I have my own beauty blog and my own YouTube channel! My Channel is a bit more successful, I've got quite a few subscribers. If anyone besides my sis reads this blog, let me know! I'd love to know that I have readers! It will keep me on my toes, LOL.
2. I have no life. Yes, I'm afraid I'm a gamer nut. I've been addicted to Fable II. That's why I haven't been doing a lot on YouTube lately (that and I've been sick). The only reason I'm not playing now is because Kevvy is on the X-Box playing COD:WaW. I was also quite addicted to Oblivion for quite some time.
   
3. My favorite type of sushi is fried! Ohhh, how American is that? I know. But I can't help it, with its damned crunchy goodness. I also love Saba Nigiri. Yum yum yum. Kevin and I always get basically the same thing when we go out to Sakura: Franklin Roll, Green Gennie (yea, they spelled it wrong), Dancing Eel Roll, 2 Saba Nigiri. Then, if we're still hungry (probably YES) we'll pick something else out. We have been together for a year and change, and we've only been out to eat somewhere OTHER than sushi ONE TIME! Yeah, we're addicted.
4. Okay, this one is going to sound really weird.... I hate wearing pants. Yes. Well, I hate wearing pant's that aren't super comfy like PJ pants. When I get off of work/school I go back to my room and take off my pants and get on the computer. Or go to Kevin's, take off my pants and get under the covers and play on my laptop. Yeahh. Well, you asked for random.
5. I have a twin! That's right! LadyTiffanyAnne is my twin! Check out her blog @ http://tiffanyheuser.blogspot.com I'm putting this in here because people are constantly saying: "Why didn't you tell me you had a twin?" Well, you never told me about your siblings, if you have any, how old they are.... Am I supposed to just introduce myself to everyone saying "Hi! I'm Stargirl. I have a twin." Nope.
6. I love manga and my favorite manga is Othello. Yes, I know, cheesy and childish, but I really like it. If you have any you love, recommend some to me!

Guest Review: N.Y.C. Ultra Last Lip Color

N.Y.C. Ultra Last Lip Color Review

At a Hollywood themed party, I received a gift bag filled with fun little goodies. Among other things, the bag contained a bottle of N.Y.C. nail polish in Purple Pizazz Frost. New York Color is a brand of cosmetics that is generally off my radar. I rarely glance at the N.Y.C section in the cosmetics department and only do so when I need a cheap lip gloss or black eyeliner. The nail polish was fairly decent, though, and so, when I was on a hunt for lip stick, I decided to give N.Y.C. a chance. After realizing that most lip stick runs for a minimum of $5.00 a tube, I wanted cheaper options. This would be my first foray into the world of lip stick since...well...since I don't know when. I'm a lip gloss kinda girl and didn't want to waste ten dollars on a couple of tubes of something I might end up hating. I ended up purchasing N.Y.C. Ultra Last Lip Color in "Caramel".

First, I must say I was surprised. I actually liked it. It's a good lipstick. But, really, isn't that like saying Sarah Palin did good in the VP debate? Well, I had low expectations and the lipstick didn't completely fail or embarrass me. So...it's good. I cannot compare it to a nice lipstick because, well, I have no experience with nice lipstick. But as a stand alone review, this "ultra last lip color" indeed lasted--albeit with a bit of fading--for some hours until I had a spaghetti lunch. No surviving that. It wasn't dry. It didn't flake off. It had decent staying power.

The color? I love it. It isn't aptly named, though, because it looks nothing like caramel. Maybe more of a shimmery cafe au lait--not that the name really matters. I'm vary careful of the colors I choose because I don't want to look like a fool. This lipstick makes me feel pretty and, really, isn't that why we wear makeup in the first place?
