Quick haul post! I have to go to homework :-( I got this all at TJ Maxx!

A Gift Fit For A Princess

Today, Kevin went shopping for each other's Christmas gifts. It was great! First we went to Gamestop. Kevin is getting a Game Cube, Metroid Prime, and a James Bond game. He also pre-ordered COD5 while we were there (of which he is playing the beta right now. Loves it).

Next, we went to the mall. Tim and Patrick went to the arcade while Kevin and I wandered around a couple different stores before landing at the perfume counter at Belk. We had stopped at VS, but Kevin didn't like their perfumes. At Belk, we tested out basically everything. The top contenders were Estee Lauder Pleasures: Delight; Vera Wang Princess; and Roxy. In the end, we selected Princess. I am sooooo excited! It smells delightful.

I am not allowed to have it yet and he cannot have his Game Cube. After all, it is not Christmas yet. But I know, if he pouted and said please, I'd let him play his games.

I may decide to ask for one of the other fragrances for Christmas. They were all so nice.

Anyway, in addition to the fragrance, after Belk, I dragged all the boys to Claire's and picked up some nail polish. I got a blue that is a really beautiful very pigmented color. I swatched a bright extremely pigmented orange while we were there and it came out matte. I don't see a lot of matte polishes. I also got a set with 5 smaller polishes, bright bright colors: green, yellow, orange/coral, fushia/purple, and blue. They are all a bit iridescent and a bit sheer, except for the orange/coral and fushia/purple. Those are pretty good. They also dry matte, but with a top coat look very nice. Not the wet-shine look, but still nice.

Yay! I have my very first Jesse's Girl products!!! They started carrying them in Rite Aid of all places. I picked up two eyeshadows.

Volcanic and Evergreen. Also comes in Earthtone and Aqua

Evergreen. Green with gold veining.

Volcanic. Dark rosy pink with lighter pink veining.

Evergreen on my eye. There's nothing else on my eye. With a base, it would look a lot better. I'm giving my eyes a rest because I was playing with a lot of looks yesterday. I'll put up some pics later.

Haul Pt1: Coastal Scents

On Wednesday I got the most amazing surprise. A ton of the stuff I'd ordered had come in!!!! Yay! So, I'll be doing some haul posts. I've also tried out some of the products so I'll be doing some mini-reviews. Not really a full review, because I'd only tried it out once or twice.

5 Gram Packaging Jars - 10 Jars -- $3.49
--I haven't used any of these yet, but I got these for mixing the mineral foundation samples I got and for loose eye shadows. I love the L.A. Colors loose eyeshadow, but I hate the container. I got the idea from ChicJade.



78 Piece Makeup Palette -- $21.98
This thing is pure amazing. I love it! The colors are so pigmented! I've used it a couple times and the colors are great. You can just pack the colors on for a real bold look, but there's also a bunch of neutrals too! It comes with 60 dime sized eye shadows, 12 rectangular eye shadows, and 6 blushes. The colors are separated into 6 color families. Here is a review by EnKore Makeup. Great review.


Brushes
Once again, they sent me a great draw string bag. All the brushes were inside of this orange bag. They all have an odor to them and you could see a lot of dye come out when you wash it. Other than that, they're great. Very very soft! I won't review them individually too much now, because I've only used them once or twice each. But I'll say a couple things.
1) The stippling brush: the white part is incredibly soft. Softest brush I own. Feels like pony hair. The black part is definitely goat. Of all the CS brushes, this one bled the most.
2) The Pink Sable and the Deluxe Buffer brush are shorties, but they've got good heft to them. They also bled, but not as much.
3) I love the lip brush! I used to to put on some Zalan lip stain. The color went on very nicely. The brush is packed firm.
4) I haven't used the eye brush, but I hear great things about it. EmilyNoel83 has a great tutorial on using this brush for doing a whole eye look, instead of using an eyeshadow brush, a crease brush, a blending, etc etc etc.

E-Bay and Coastal Scents Mini Hauls

I ordered a couple brushes and some samples from Coastal Scents and they're in! Yay!!!! I'm totally going to order there again.

Everything came in this really cute little pink bag. I've unwrapped the brushes but I put everything back in to show you.


These are the two mineral powder foundation samples I ordered, $2 a piece: Silk Cover Light 1.2 and Medium 1.2 Mineral Foundation and then a free eyeshadow in Funk Shadow that they gave me! It's a BEAUTIFUL sparkly aubergine.

I've never used any eye primers before, I on E-Bay, I got two. Mary Kay Signature Eye Primer(above) and Claudia Stevens Eye Primer (below).

Haul: Dollar Tree and Sally Beauty Supply

So, today I needed to get some color stripper for my hair and stain remover for my skin after I color. Okay, well I don't need to go out and buy color stripper. I ordered some online, but I'm way too impatient. I'll save that one to do next time. So, I went to Sally's. I LURVE Sally's! I got a Sally's card. $5 for the whole year. In two trips, I make all that money back.

Anyway, I picked up some L'Oreal ColorZap. The cashier recommended that one. Since I already have color in my hair, I need to strip the color before I bleach it. To get the stain out of my skin after I color, I picked up Ion Stain Remover. I haven't used this before. Usually, I just rub as much as I can out and wait until it fades.


While I was there, I also picked up some Beyond The Zone products, since they're having a buy two get one free sale. I got two bottles of Color Jamz in Bubble Head Pink and Non So Shy Violet. I'll use these after my color starts to fade. Damn, I love Color Jamz. Since they were having that sale, I also got The Scruncher. Can't wait to try out this product. It's a "3-in-1 spray, with natural organic extracts and Panthenol to scrunch, style and finish a look that lasts all day." And it's a pretty big bottle; over 500 mL.




At the Dollar Tree, I wanted to pick up some makeup remover wipes. I use it to clean brushes on a daily basis after I use them. They're really thin. They probably suck for getting it off your face well, but I just want it to clean my brushes. I still do a real cleaning once a week.While I was there, I picked up a couple L.A. Colors loose eyeshadows in Black Pearl, Lollipop, and Snow White. I wanted to pick up Sunshine, the gold color, but I couldn't remember if I already owned it!!!! These are sold at Cherry Culture for $3, but at the dollar tree for $1!!!!!!

Anyway, I'm about to use the color stripper so I can get started on my hair project!
